From Brisbane / Gold Coast

Travel South on the Pacific Highway. At Oak Avenue interchange follow the signs for the "Tweed Valley Way" (this is the old Pacific Highway) to Murwillumbah.

At the roundabout turn into Murwillumbah (you will cross over the Tweed River) and approach a second roundabout - go straight ahead.

You then approach a third roundabout ('Sunnyside Mall'- Coles and Liqourland located within). Continue straight through this roundabout, then take the second road on the left 'Riverview Street'. The road will be signposted for Nimbin, Kyogle and Mt. Warning National Park.

Continue on this road for approximately 15km to the village of Uki. Travel South through Uki (towards Nimbin/Kyogle) for 7kms.

Turn right at the third road after leaving Uki, signed 'Byrill Creek'. Just before turning into Byrrill Creek Road you will see a sign for Mt. Warning Forest Hideaway on the right hand side.

Byrrill Creek Road is tar sealed to Forest Hideaway entrance. Forest Hideaway is located 5km along Byrrill Creek Road. When crossing over the causeway do not turn into 'Cedar Creek Road', continue along Byrrill Creek Road.

Forest Hideaway's entrance is located to the right immediately after the third bridge (wooden & concrete in structure). Once on the property continue along the drive for 500m to the main carpark and reception.

From Numinbah Valley

Travel south through Natural Bridge, over the tick gate and you will drive down the North Rim of the caldera. You will arrive at the village of Chillingham; turn right towards the village of Tyalgum.

Travel through Tyalgum in the direction of Brays Creek / Byrill Creek. The road will change from tar sealed to a council maintained gravel road. Continue on around the mountain for approximately 15 Kms.

As you approach a wooden and concrete bridge (it will be on your right) Forest Hideaway's entrance is located on the left, prior to crossing over the bridge. A large green and white sign indicates the site.

Once on the property continue along the drive for 500m to the main car park and reception.

From Nimbin/Kyogle

Travel North along the Kyogle road in the direction of the village of Uki.

Approximately 7kms south of Uki take the left turn, signed 'Byrrill Creek'. Just before turning into Byrrill Creek Road you will see a sign for Mt. Warning Forest Hideaway on the left-hand side.

From Byron Bay

Travel North on the Pacific Highway. You have two options.

Direct Way.

Continue on the Pacific Highway to the Clothiers Creek Road interchange. Exit the Highway at this interchange and follow the signs to Murwillumbah.

At the roundabout turn into Murwillumbah (you will cross over the Tweed River) and approach a roundabout - go straight ahead. You then approach a second roundabout ('Sunnyside Mall'- Coles and Liqourland located within). Continue straight through this roundabout, then take the second road on the left 'Riverview Street'. The road will be signposted for Nimbin, Kyogle and Mt. Warning National Park.

Tweed Valley Way

Alternatively you can travel along the 'Tweed Valley Way' (the old Pacific Highway)

Travel North on the Pacific Highway.  Look out for the signs for the Tweed Valley Way and take this exit.  If you miss this exit continue along the highway to the Clothiers Creek Road interchange and follow the directions as above.

The Tweed Valley Way will take you through the villages of Mooball & Burringbar.

After crossing over the Burringbar Range take a left turn towards 'Stokers Siding'. Once in Stokers Siding, take a left turn over the railway line towards 'Uki'.

At the end of the road turn left into the village of Uki. Travel South through Uki (towards Nimbin/Kyogle) for 7kms.

Turn right at the third road after leaving Uki, signed 'Byrrill Creek'. Just before turning into Byrrill Creek Road you will see a sign for Mt. Warning Forest Hideaway on the right hand side.
